Closing Transactions Amid Recording Office Closures
Closing real estate transactions in these challenging times requires flexibility and All American Escrow LLC is here to help. We are actively monitoring the status of government recording offices around the country in order to determine if office closures will impact the ability to record documents for pending transactions. Even if recording offices in your area have closed or limited their services, we are committed to making every effort to enable closings where possible. Please contact us for additional requirements.
Adjustments to Closing Practices and Other Steps Taken
Beyond that, the company has also taken a number of other steps to help protect the health of our customers, our employees and the communities in which we operate, including:
- Conducting most closings and/or meetings by appointment only
- Asking that non-essential parties refrain from attending closings and/or meetings
- Making hand sanitizer available in our branch offices
- Sanitizing our closing room tables and chairs after each closing
- Providing new pens for each signing and encouraging clients to keep the pens once the closing is completed
- Providing separate closing rooms, if available
- Promoting best practices for personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness to employees
- Restricting non-essential travel as well as employee attendance at industry conferences and events
- Directing any employee with symptoms of illness to stay home.
